Loosing Power

^“1And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, ²Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. ³And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. ⁴All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, ⁵Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. ⁶And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, ⁷And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.” Matthew 21:1-7

“tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass…” The daughter of Sion being the nation of israel, even us the body of Christ. Our King is Jesus. I love how Jesus told them to go into a specfic city to get a specfic donkey and once they find them they were to loose the donkey and bring him unto me! Wow!!!

Many of us have at some point found ourselves like these donkeys. Tied to a tree. Tied and booud to a situation. Drugs, alchol, sex, anger, pride, unforgiveness and the list can go on. And all we needed was someone to loose us from our situation. To loose us from the thing that was holding us back.

Well I want to say this…… just as the donkey, had a date with destiney so do you and I. There is coming a day in which the thing we are tied to is going to have to loose us and let us go. Why? “….the Lord hath need of them.” There is a day, a prophetic day I would like to call it that when God needs you, that stronghold is going to have to release you. No struggle, just an untiging from the tree will take place supernaturally. Just a pulling up out of the pit will come naturally. Why? Because the Lord has need of you! There is a law firm God needs you at, there is a ministry God needs you to lead. There is a medical school waiting for you. There is a business waiting for you. There is a house waiting on you. Whatever it is, God is has spoken a word to His disciples to go loose you from your tree. Why? So that he can escort you into the manifestation of your destney!

Does your marriage, or your church seem like it is tied to a tree and bound? Is it being hindered or crippled? Well despite what circumstances got you there self imposed or not, there are several things you must know as it relates to where you are:

1). GOD KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE

2). GOD CAN’T USE YOU TIED TO A TREE

3). THERE IS A PROPHECY HANGING OVER YOUR LIFE

4). HELP IS ON THE WAY

EASTER Weekend at the LC

Well I really couldn’t enjoy easter the way I wanted to but I am grateful to God for giving me the strength to atleast minister at one service. Two weeks ago my youngest daughter had a bug, last week my oldest daughter had a bug, and yes yours truly was bit friday night. EASTER WEEKEND!!!!!! I felt like I was on a cross and in a tomb at the same time. Thank God for a wife that can bring the word!!! After I preached the second service I came straight home and got in the bed. It was aweful!!!!! All in all we had a great Easter weekend.

We had 350 individuals walk through our doors! Yes the mailout did work, we had a 1percent respond 95 people. As I just had the chance to go through our connect cards several dozens of family and singles wanted to become a parter with LC, some of them making a decision for christ the first time.

Our DREAM TEAM….yall showed the heck out. Its amazing how I get so much credit for building a great church. I guess they don’t realize we have an amazing team that gets the job done. Thank you….thank you….thank you…..

Just fyi we will be announing a Dream Team Party here for you guys in a few weeks.

Back to the Future Sunday Service

Yesterday we had our first offical service back at the Hollywood Theater. Boy did we have a great time. I was so proud of my Dream Team. They exceeded all of my expectation. There were 261 persons in attendance. Wooooowwww. Our 295 seat theater was almost standing room only. What a block buster service. Everything was 5 star. The parking, the greeters, the ushers, the set up team, the worship leader, the technical team were totally on point.

We have incorporated in our service Media Shout for the video and screen purpose. Nicole worked that screen and its transistion like she had been doing it for years. The word was: Back to the Future: When taking the Journey Forward Requires Going Back! Truly we saw the hand writing on the wall that we were following the will of God as we relocated.

We ended the services by telling everyone that as they left the building there was an ice cream truck waiting on the outside and to help themselves to some for free. I got the idea from Pastor Chris Hodges, of Church of the Highlands in Alabama.

2 Weeks til Back to the Future

Today we washed cars in the river city market place. We spent this time also passing out post cards and water bottles as a way to let people know that Life in the Spirit Church of Jacksonville was coming back to the future. We are excited about going back to the theater and we just believe that God is going to blow our mind.

Back to the Future

It is official, the Life in the Spirit Church of Jacksonville will be going back to the future. That is to say back to the Hollywood Theater. It was a year ago today that we had moved to our current facility. After one year God has blessed us again and we must move with the glory cloud. Our first building on Dunn Ave set 55 people, this was the first place that pushed us into the deep waters of faith. Causing us to worship in what seemed to be foreign territory. So we went from being stuck at a growth of 55 people. Then our faith move to Hollywood theater easter sunday 2007, put us into theater number 13 which set 129 people and now our current building sits 185 (we can put in about 30 more chairs when needed).

Going back to Hollywood we will be in theater #14 which sits 295. We are believing God for a block buster move in the Spirit to take place. By both faith and works I am beliving God to outgrow it by December 31st, forcing us into a 2nd service.

This faith move back to Hollywood is going to do several things for us. The two most important things is that it will allow us to accumlate a sizable savings account, enabling us in 24 months to purchase our land and/or building. And give us more space to grow. Today in service we had over 185 people in attendance, 25 of those were in children church. And to think we had quit a few faitfful families out for the summer.

God is doing a great work in our church. We are called to impact the city, and that we will do. If you live in the Jacksonville area, and you want to get on the ground level of a church on the move I challenge you to consider coming out and worshiping with us in our current facility or meet us on Septemer 12th @ 10a at the Hollywood Theater as we prepare to go back to the future.

God of the City of Jacksonville

You are the God of this City! This is the thought that I awoke with this morning. He is the God of this City. Jacksonville, the 2nd largest city in the USA is an amazing place to live. I belive that. I believe that God has placed me and the Life in the Spirit Church of Jacksonville in this city to take it for the kingdom.

I am stoked this morning. There is no one like our God. Today I arise to take my rightful place, as an ambassador of God in this city. We arise to the vision, knowing that greater things are yet to come, greater things are still to be done in this city.

Spring Is Almost Here

What an amazing beginning of the year. The Life church just ended a 21 day fast on March 2nd. There have been amazing testimonies about the power and favor of God. Physical, emotional and financnial victories took place. All glory belongs to God.

Here it is now march, God added over 15 new families to our fellowship, which was a total of about 20 to 25 persons. I am just trusting God to move in Jacksonville like never before. We need revival. Sping is the best time of the year to really focus on the fresh harvest. I believe that God is waiting on our cities churches to arrise and take control. Get Ready…Get Ready…Get Ready….

21 Day Fast and More!!!!!

Ok, I know, i have been slllllaaaacccckkkkkkiiiiiinnnnngggg real bad on my blog. I am so far behind. So much has happen since we have relocated from the theater to our own building. I will do my best to update you, and stay commented to blogging atleast once or twice a week.

Two quick stories. One, we are currently on a 21 day fast that started on the 10th of Feb. It is so amazing. The stories and testimonies are great. We are beliving God for both spiritual and natural miracles.

This Sunday we had a guest speaker from Occala, Florida Come. Pastor Nino Cara from New Wine Ministries. He really spoke and gave us a fresh word from God about our church and the assignment of why we are here. The praise and worship was awesome. I am so proud of our team for allowing God to mature them to operate in excellence.

We had 4 new Partners (members) join us on this Sunday. Thank you Jesus for expaning your kingdom. Until next time.

Block Party Pre-Launch Party

Today we had a blast at our Block Party. Everything went amazing. I mean, it was sooooo good to have so many positives on our side. There was no rain; the attendance was exceptionial (I think spelled that wrong). There was on time set up. Yes, on time. People came off the street. Cars drove by saw the water slides, jumping houses; the barbque grills and came over to enjoy with us. I didn’t count but it will be safe to say atleast 200 people attended the block party throughtout the 11a to 4p, time frame. Praying that this is the pre-lude to a great Grand Opening Service in the morning. Pray for us and I will post pictures tomorrow. God Bless.
