Back to the Future

It is official, the Life in the Spirit Church of Jacksonville will be going back to the future.  That is to say back to the Hollywood Theater.  It was a year ago today that we had moved to our current facility.  After one year God has blessed us again and we must move with the glory cloud.  Our first building on Dunn Ave set 55 people, this was the first place that pushed us into the deep waters of faith.  Causing us to worship in what seemed to be foreign territory.  So we went from being stuck at a growth of 55 people.  Then our faith move to Hollywood theater easter sunday 2007, put us into theater number 13 which set 129 people and now our current building sits 185 (we can put in about 30 more chairs when needed). 

Going back to Hollywood we will be in theater #14 which sits 295.  We are believing God for a block buster move in the Spirit to take place.  By both faith and works I am beliving God to outgrow it by December 31st, forcing us into a 2nd service.

This faith move back to Hollywood is going to do several things for us.  The two most important things is that it will allow us to accumlate a sizable savings account, enabling us in 24 months to purchase our land and/or building. And give us more space to grow.  Today in service we had over 185 people in attendance, 25 of those were in children church.  And to think we had quit a few faitfful families out for the summer.

God is doing a great work in our church.  We are called to impact the city, and that we will do.  If you live in the Jacksonville area, and you want to get on the ground level of a church on the move I challenge you to consider coming out and worshiping with us in our current facility or meet us on Septemer 12th @ 10a at the Hollywood Theater as we prepare to go back to the future.
